Ready to Free Your Brain From Drugs?
Do you feel trapped in the loop of needing to pop an Adderall to function? Battling those pesky “I’m not good enough” OCD obsessive thoughts? Do you let your inner demons drop you straight down into the depths of despair? And then you reach for a pill, right?
You are not alone!
Hypnotherapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Past-Life Regression can help you. Over the years, I’ve had many clients whom I’ve encouraged to titrate off their meds. Some people feel too frightened to free themselves, but fortunately, most of my clients dare to make a change.
A few months ago, Christina, a 27-year-old from shit-kicking Texas, came to see me. She said she was stuck in a rut and needed help. She did all the work that I suggested, and today, when I opened my email, I saw her 5 Star review on Yelp.
Here’s what she wrote.
“Stephanie is a lifesaver!!! SERIOUSLY. If you choose to work with Stephanie, you are choosing to save the trajectory of your life. I came to her when I felt so stuck in an addiction to Adderall and didn’t think it was possible to get off of it after so long. Within five sessions, I was clean, happy, free, and hopeful for my future thanks to her. I realized I could trust myself as just me, and I was enough. She has not only helped me with that, but she has also turned my whole worldview around and made my life infinitely more magical and positive. You just have to listen to what she says, and I promise it’ll all work out. Thank you, Stephanie, I owe so much to you in this lifetime!”
This made me so happy! It was a gift to me, and it’s why I love my work.
What I explained to Christina, as I do with all my clients, is that there’s a world of power inside your own mind that can rewire your brain and transform your life, even more effectively than drugs. I convinced her that she could do it. I told her how the newest neuroscience proves that your thoughts actually affect your hormones and the chemistry of your body.
I encourage all of my clients to be more than simply passive observers of their own lives, but to take action and be active creators of their own reality, right down to the neurochemicals their body creates.
Michael Pollan’s “How to Change Your Mind” is a fun read, and he reinforces the brain exercises that I provide to my clients during the first “Goal Programming” session. Byron Katie’s “Loving What Is” helps shed light on how to shift your perspective away from the ever-popular victimhood mentality. By doing brain push-ups, you alter the way your brain functions.
Think of it like this: If you’re always focused on the rain, you’ll never see the sun. But unfortunately, your brain is set on the “Is it raining yet?” station. Your brain is wired to detect danger. (And that’s what FB, Instagram use to manipulate you, right? Scare and create outrage.) That’s why you always have to ask: Is it true? Where’s your proof? You need to shift your mindset from a negative to a positive one by reframing. That way, you can create your own brain makeover.
Reframing, combined with Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), helps you identify those negative thought patterns and replace them with more positive, helpful thoughts and actions. Hypnotherapy helps supercharge your ability to access your subconscious mind, tap into inner wisdom, and plant seeds of change.
You can enhance the therapeutic benefits of shifting your perspective and reframing your experience by combining them with Past-Life Regressions. When you experience a past life that reveals why you chose a significant tragedy in your life, it alters the emotional charge of that event.
By exploring past lives, clients discover that the issues they’re struggling with in this life have roots that are deeply buried in the past. That way, they dissolve feelings of blame, shame, and inadequacy. When you realize that your current struggles might be echoes of lessons learned in another time, it can be incredibly liberating. It shifts the focus from “What’s wrong with me?” to “What do I need to learn?”
Changing your mind can change your brain, and that, in turn, can change your life. When you reframe difficult experiences as a spiritual test, for example, you no longer feel like a victim. You become a wise student who has passed a challenging test. That shift dismantles those feelings of “I’m not good enough,” and can open your eyes to new opportunities. You gain inner strength because it’s incredibly empowering.
I can help you unlock the untapped power within your mind. So instead of managing your anxiety with drugs, you can learn how to rewrite your life’s story, one thought at a time.
