Addicted to Porn, Prostitutes, or Happy Endings?
I do “no blame” therapy. When people come to me with shame-inducing behaviors, like sex addiction, I always use compassion and science to help them understand the source of their addictions. Sexual addiction, especially that spicy trilogy of prostitutes, online porn, and happy-ending massages, is as addictive as heroin, and just as destructive.
Can hypnotherapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Past-Life Regression help? You bet!
First off, hypnotherapy can help rewire your brain. By tapping into your subconscious through deep relaxation and focused concentration, hypnotherapy can help you uncover and reframe the sabotaging beliefs and emotional wounds that drive addictive behavior. Imagine having a kind person within, like a sweet kindergarten teacher, who helps you stop your critical OCD thinking and shift away from addictive patterns without shame or judgment. Hypnotherapy rewires the neural pathways that lead to addictive behaviors. Think of it as running antivirus software on your brain’s computer. It targets those pesky viruses of obsessive thoughts right at their source.
Next, I use CBT, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which is the scientifically proven superhero of mental health therapies. CBT can teach you how to take your irrational thoughts and untangle them into something that resembles sanity. By learning how to stop the urges and challenge the automatic response, you can learn how to create new, healthier thought patterns. CBT effectively puts your brain into the driver’s seat of your life, and that allows you to steer clear of the potholes of addiction.
Past-Life Regression therapy can take you even deeper. Over the past twenty-four years, I’ve helped many people heal from sexual trauma, dysfunction, and sexual addiction by finding the roots in a different dimension. If your current obsessions are echoes from the past, regression therapy taps into the mysteries of the universal mind, or, as Carl Jung called it, the collective unconscious.
Books like “Sex at Dawn” and “The Red Queen” argue that our sexual behavior and inclinations are deeply rooted in our evolutionary past. They are natural and hard-wired into us for the survival of our extremely sexual, violent species. Robert Sopolsky and Gabor Mate, both experts in healing and neuroscience, echo Ridley’s research.
Unfortunately, about five thousand years ago, some power-hungry dudes on horses roared through the Mesopotamia and destroyed 40,000 years of goddess-worshipping religions that honored women and sex. What was sacred and joyful became a shame-filled sin punished by an angry sky-god with a pitchfork aimed at pussies.
Want proof? “When God Was a Woman,” by Merlin Stone, powerfully tells that tragic story. Demonizing sex and making a woman, Eve, the origin of all evil, set the stage for sorrow, chaos, and violence against women. Making sex forbidden and filthy is what drove sexuality deep into the dungeons of degradation and despair, where it tragically sits today.
Understanding all of this can empower you to make conscious decisions and break free from the chains of compulsive, destructive beliefs and behaviors. Knowledge is power, and I can teach you how to change those destructive belief systems.
Combining these systems forms a powerful trifecta: neuroscience provides the framework to understand and comprehend your brain, CBT offers tools to rewire and change, while hypnotherapy and Past-Life Regression tap into your subconscious mind, creating profound change.
In essence, sexual addiction isn’t a life sentence. By applying the principles taught by Sopolsky, Ridley, and Mate, alongside spiritual methods, you can find a pathway to healing and self-discovery. The result? A freer, healthier, and more joyful life.
