Does the Rush of Holidaze Depress You?

Holiday's Depression

Does the Rush of Holidaze Depress You?

You’re Not Alone!

Are you feeling overwhelmed by the expectations of the Hallmark Holiday? Does just thinking about it fry your nervous system? If so, take a deep breath and get a grip.

Awareness Therapy now! Just be aware that you are being manipulated into feeling frazzled by the constant barrage of advertisers. They sell you a fantasy that never existed. Advertisers don’t want you to be happy – they want you to spend your money, right? Buy! Buy! Buy.

What to do?

STOP! Feel your own feelings. Feeling depressed? (That’s anger turned inward.)

Acknowledge that you are entitled to say “no” to things that won’t make you happy. Ask yourself – will this make me happy? If it doesn’t make you happy, then you don’t have to do it. No one will hold a gun to your head. You have a choice.

Don’t like your sister-in-law’s family? Opt-out.

Don’t want to go back to Michigan? Postpone until it’s not below zero.

Don’t want to hurt Aunt Sarah’s feelings? Aunt Sarah will survive — but you may not.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, slow down. Begin the New Year with the quest of being authentically you. You’re the only one who gets to be you — don’t expect other people to do what’s best for you. They’re too busy doing what’s best for them!

Honor your self and your own needs. Begin now. Meditate. Create new habits of thinking, doing, and believing that empower you.

If you need help, cognitive behavior therapy, awareness therapy, and Past Life Regression can help you.
